Hungary is deeply involved in winemaking for more than two and a half thousand years, and is world-known with good wine. If you have already tasted the Hungarian goulash and have bought paprika, it’s just right time now to get acquainted with the wine side of the country :) Wine festival, held in September in Buda Castle, will help you about it.
The festival presents wines from all regions of Hungary including wine brands with international awards. The most famous one – white Tokay wine, named in the literature as wine of kings. It is made of light grapes slightly dried under the sun.
It is also possible here to learn more about the history of winemaking and meet the famous winemakers of Hungary.
