Stockholm Beer and Whiskey festival – the main beer festival in Northern Europe and one of the grandest whiskey festivals in the world – is held annually during two weekends and attracts more than 30 000 visitors.
The festival’s venue is a stylish loft in the exhibition center Factory Nacka Strand, established in a former car factory in the suburbs of Stockholm.
The festival offers about 1500 sorts of beer and whiskey of more than 500 local and international manufacturers, and other drinks as cognac, tequila, rum and liqueurs are also presented here.
In the cafes and restaurants of the festival the guests can taste a variety of national dishes of Sweden and northern cuisine, at fairs – to buy nice souvenirs of local handicrafts and in the competition of brewers – to vote for the best beer.
And the visitors, interested deeply in the history and technology of beer production, may even participate in seminars and workshops on brewing.
